Augsburg Fortress

A classic anthem by Carl Schalk which sets Herbert Brokering’s beloved eucharistic and eschatological hymn text. After two unison stanzas, the choir sings in lyrical 4-part harmony followed by the final two stanzas accompanied by a beautiful, soaring descant. This anthem is especially appropriate for communion distribution.
