Augsburg Fortress

John Ferguson offers a gospel processional that spans the year in usefulness. It's wonderful to find anthems that tie the year and the season together — this is one of them. Based on the chorale tune Wie schon leuchtet, it is envisioned to span the three major festival days when such a procession might happen. Though calling for a solo trumpet, the instrumental part could easily be played on an organ with trumpet stop.
