Augsburg Fortress

Hal H. Hopson has arranged some terrific anthems for Augsburg Fortress, and this one is no exception. He gives a slightly different treatment than the traditional settings of this hymn. Opening with a soloist, this anthem unhurriedly moves into the full choir with a free-flowing expressive nature versus the more traditional regimented feel. Mysterious and unhurried, this piece gives a contemplative opportunity for the congregation on the wisdom and greatness of God.
