Filled With His Voice

Filled With His Voice

“Filled with His Voice” is a lyrical, powerful expression of faith. Subtle pastoral references reflect Psalm 23, Ezekiel 34, and Psalm 95:7. Danyew’s writing is strikingly beautiful and is easily accessible for church, school, and community ensembles.

Composer Commentary

“Filled with His Voice” was commissioned in 2012 by the Bethel College Concert Choir, directed by Dr. William Eash. Dr. Eash approached me with the idea of creating a work for choir and saxophone (my primary instrument) and I loved the idea. Dr. Eash planned the project to coincide with the 125th anniversary of Bethel College, and thought that it would be particularly meaningful if we used a text that had also been set by Bethel College emeritus professor John Harold Moyer.
