Composer Commentary

I have been fortunate to have worked with many fine trumpeters in both collegiate and church settings, and I wrote most of the pieces in this volume for specific concerts or specific worship services. While there are some mellow moments in these settings, there is a predominant festive tone, allowing both the trumpet and organ to be heard in their full grandeur.
