Evelyn Larter has given this familiar text and tune a jazz-inspired twist. The choir's syncopated rhythms are easily learned, and the vocal jazz harmonies are fun to learn and to sing. The addition of violin makes this the perfect anthem to express the joy and delight of Christmas. This anthem is based on the composer’s setting of this carol for flute and piano found in Amid the Winter's Snow.
