This stunning collection for organ solo features three superbly scored carol settings. Tunes include QUELLE EST CETTE ODEUR AGRÉABLE, STILL STILL STILL, and SICILIAN MARINERS (also known as O DU FRÖHLICHE or O SANCTISSIMA).

A highly accomplished organist, James Biery composes seamlessly for the instrument here in a style reminiscent of the 20th century French masters Maurice Duruflé and Jean Langlais. Of note in the collection is the final piece, a brilliant Fantasia on ‘O Sanctissima’. This splendid setting begins quietly with suspended harmonies around statements of the classic hymn tune and imaginatively unfolds into a full out French toccata with the tune in the pedal.
