Motet for unaccompanied SATB voices. On a text from the Gospel of John: "I give you a new commandment...". Farlee's expressive yet straightforward setting breathes with simplicity and elegance. The lectionary suggests that this might be a good selection for the Fifth Sunday of Easter (C), however another excellent option might be as an anthem sung during the washing of feet on Maundy Thursday.
