The familiar tune “Simple Gifts” is paired with a Ralph Waldo Emerson text in this SATB setting by Nancy Grundahl, perfect for Thanksgiving worship. With unison stanzas and a recurring 4-part refrain, there is a creative simplicity to the writing that allows for easy learning. A wonderful anthem for a time when rehearsals may be brief, or for a multi-church massed choir anthem.
