Augsburg Fortress

Written for the St. Olaf Christmas Festival 2004, this anthem is scored for SATB with divisi and organ. With text by Bruce Benson and Herbert Brokering, the expansive setting considers how the heavens burst into song as the angels announced the birth of Christ. A thrilling accompaniment for organ adds to the brilliance and dazzle of the celestial texts.
